This weeks photo challenge is colour. I love colour. How depressing life would be if it was all shades of grey…
The thought of colour immediately brings flowers to my mind, but I have shown many photos of flowers in different themes. So this time I am going to travel back in my memories to Korea. A beautiful and very colourful country.
These photos were taken by Jack, see more of his photos at <jacksjottings.wordpress.com>

Very nice! Especially love the 2 little girls 🙂
Thanks Tina, the dresses are their national costume and they are worn with pride by many Korean ladies at special occasions. They are so colourful
These are amazing, what a colourful looking country
G’day thanks for leaving your comment and footprint on my blog. Korea is one of those countries that the tourists seem to overlook, but we love it.
Wonderful memories in living colours
Thank you they certainly are
Great gallery of colours – I can tell it isn’t North Korea…!
Oh yes I think they would be all shades of grey!
🙂
such a wonderful colourful post, my favourite of all the colour posts this week!
Well thank you that is a great compliment
The paintjob totally reminds me of the Tenkaen, an abandoned China themed park in Hokkaido.
G’day Florian, that park in China sounds interesting. Why was it abandoned?
I have just “googled” it. what a fascinating place. Did you visit it? Yes it does have the same colours and designs as in Korea
I spent half a day there in November last year – the weather was changing constantly from sunny to cloudy to snowy and back, so it was a wonderful experience:

(Oh, and the park closed due to low visitor numbers after only 7.5 years.)
Being abandoned I suppose it was free to wander round?
Yes, except for my exploration buddy I didn’t see anybody all day long. Some buildings were locked and I respected that as always – there was so much to take photos of anyway…
Wow, how beautiful, that second photo, with all the detail of the ceiling, it’s just stunning!
Korea is a country that seems to be out of the tourist destinations but it has so much to offer. Maybe a bit dicey to visit at the moment though
