Photography 101 : Landmark (beachmark…)

The beaches along the Goldcoast can be dangerous. The rips and sometimes wild surf, can catch swimmers unawares. So the land/beach mark to look for is the red and yellow flags. ALWAYS swim between them. Every summer a few unsuspecting tourists, who do not, are swept out to sea and drowned.

The lifeguards keep a sharp look out and the life saving equipment is always at the ready.

These are iconic landmarks on Goldcoast beaches (especially the girl in the bikini)

  1. What body of water is this?

  2. Beach landmarks are so important – one bit of sand looks much like another. Girls in bikinis move 😉 but we always begin a trip with the children by finding a landmark – just in case. Great pics.

  3. I like the concept of having flags to mark out what’s safe and what’s not. Great pics.

Here’s my response to the prompt : http://happinessandfood.wordpress.com/2014/11/12/its-natural-its-human/

  4. Nicely composed and beautiful vivid colours! Especially the third one 🙂

  5. the succession of shades of blues and whites are lovely….enjoyed this.
