Jen asks us to, “Share your vision of our magnificent Earth through your lens.”
******************
Australia is a huge continent of contrasts, it is also an island.
The ocean beats relentlessly against the shore.
The rivers flow through the land.
This is deceptively calm, sometimes it can be a raging torrent.
At other times drought grips the land.
Australia is a land of extremes. From the mountain tops.
To the tropical rainforest…
From the fertile red clay of the cane fields…
To the sand of the deserts…
This is the place I love and call home.
I’ve roamed around this beautiful land and it is indeed “the lucky country”.
But there is no place quite as comforting as watching the sun set from your own back deck…
Indeed! Great pics of our diversity
Thank you…
What a lovely ode to the diversity of Australia, so lovingly done. You’ve pointed up the contrasts beautifully.
I certainly have plenty of photos to use for this challenge…
These photos are just so amazing and really fit the challenge. Sol

Beautiful contrasts of this great southern land.
I know you are captivated by it too Ruth.
A country of contrasts, beautiful Pauline!
It certainly is, that is part of its beauty
What beautiful juxtapositions of lush and sere. Love it.
We are going through a calm period at the moment in my south east corner of Queensland, but never know when it will change.
I agree with Meg and Gilly…not more I can add!
Beauitifully said and wonderfully shown Pauline. I love your country almost as much as you do!
There’s a lot to love here Tina
Beautiful, your continent encompasses most of Earth’s diversity, lovely presentation, thank you for sharing your country…
Thank you for visiting my world Vicky and I appreciate that you have left a comment
Great post PP – love that penultimate image with the track on the edge (and Jack?) and is that Matilda in the background? Such rich colours.
Well seen Jude, that is actually me and Jack took this photo, and yes Matilda in the far distance. This was one of those unforgettable freedom camps in WA. I love that you have put our anthem in, amen to that…
I actually thought it was you, but you usually take the photos so you fooled me with this one š
š I do take nearly all the photos but Jack is always sneaking around catching me in the frame, but this time I was far enough away to put it in here…
What a fantastic tribute to this amazing country, Pauline š
We live in a great country Dianne…
