Restlessness : never at rest; perpetually agitated or in motion:
*******************
Paula (lost in translation) has given us a new challenge this week…
“I’m starting something new today. I’m giving you five unrelated words that are neither synonyms nor antonyms. Pick one and depict it in photo(s).”
-
Turbidity
-
Restlessness
-
Transience
-
Prolific
-
Decrepit
All are interesting words and I could choose any one of them, but because I live near the ocean and love its restless, ever-changing character I have chosen “restlessness” for my word of the week.
Which one would you choose?
I think I would choose decrepit. I have a lot of decrepit photos.
Haha I think we all have lots of those!!!
Wonderful photos! I chose turbidity. Had to look up the word to be sure I knew what it meant. 🙂
I thought of turbidity too but also had to look it up. I will pop over to see your interpretation.
I especially like the second shot!
Thanks Cindy, we have forecast for big storms this weekend with King tides so may get more ocean photos, if it is safe enough to go out…
mmmm, I smell your sea (or ocean 🙂
It is going to be very wild this weekend, with storms forecast.
Both of these are great depictions of restlessness.
Thanks Irene. We have big storms forecast for this weekend so will have more restless ocean photo ops.
Hope you are getting off as lightly as we have Pauline. We have had wind and rain and a king tide this morning but nothing as damaging as predicted.
Same here Irene, and today is a glorious perfect sunny day, though it looked like Brisbane had it quite bad with flash floods and power outages.
Sydney really copped it as did Tasmania. We really did get off lightly.
We were lucky compared to Sydney.
Absolutely.
I love this, I really do. Have a happy day, Pauline (or what’s left of it). Thank you!
I could almost do a post for each word Paula, good choice of words. Are you going to do this again?
Yes, in August again. In July I’ll take a 3 week break and go off grid.
Good to take time off every now and again. Hope your weekend is relaxed

Thanks for the link
It should be mine, shouldn’t it, Pauline, but I don’t have such wonderful photos to illustrate it. 🙂 Hugs, darlin!
I thought of you Jo, my restless friend, when I chose this word…
Aww- thanks, Pauline 🙂 🙂
🙂
beautiful shots- I love their movement
The sea is a brilliant choice, but if I tried, a restless sea over here would be grey, as would the sky.
But summer is surely going to give you some blue sky days?
Definitely restlessness – great shots, Pauline 😉
I Love taking photos of the ocean. It is going to be a wild one this weekend.
The ocean is a good choice for restlessness. Love the waves PP.
Going to be even more restless today as a storm and King Tides come together in about an hour.
I would have selected restlessness too – and love the water – refreshing shot.
Paula had chosen all good words and I could’ve found photos for all of them
I bet you could have used them all – 🙂
🙂
