This has been an excellent series organised by Jude. Faithfully, week by week, she has rounded up benches from all over the world. It is hard to believe that 52 weeks have flown by.
So here is my final selection of benches that have been waiting in the wings.

This bench is in the Tasmanian Botanic Gardens were I sat and enjoyed the pleasure of autumn leaves in 2013 and looked out across the Derwent river.

For the month of October Jude is looking for a bench with someone or something sitting on it.
I love autumn but in my home town of Gold Coast I miss all the glory of the changing seasons, it is sub tropical here so do not have deciduous trees. So in 2013 we house sat in Hobart, Tasmania for 8 weeks during autumn/winter. I revelled in the colour. One of the highlights was taking the hop-on hop-off bus around the highlights of historic Hobart. (You may like to come with me for a ride, click this link)
Because it is autumn in the northern hemisphere and I am enjoying the autumn leaves through the many photos of my blogging buddies I have decided to add this photo of autumn in Hobart and the red bus driver waiting for his passengers.

I spotted this fellow cruiser taking photos in the Dunedin Railway Station. A magnificent building of Flemish Renaissance design. I also took many photos. (pop over to see what we were both impressed with) I can tell he is a passenger on the cruise ship I was also travelling on, as he had his tag on so he could get back on board, can you see it around his neck…
These are not metal Jude, but I just had to show you this artistic bench I found in the alternative lifestyle “biggest, little town of Mullumbimby”

This month Jude would like us to show her a metal bench, but I’m bending the rules a bit here as I have not been able to find any metal benches. Go over to Jude’s site to see what others have found

I do not have so many of them. Plenty around but usually in mundane places like bus stops.
Though metal benches are cold and uncomfortable the view from these two made me sit for a while.
Today is the last day of winter down under and spring is on the horizon.
This month in her “bench series” Jude wants to see photos of a bench that is painted or stained or otherwise coloured in some way. Not the plain wooden variety unless there is some colour detail.
If you can find space you can share this bench with Adam and Eve, but beware of the snake…
This pillar box red certainly catches the eye.
